Rapid Improvement Program

Imagine a workplace where employees are motivated, processes are efficient, and customers are happy. By implementing 'Lean Thinking' as part of the Rapid Improvement Program, your organisation can unlock its full potential, driving both productivity and employee experience to new heights.

Lean Thinking: The Key to Rapid Improvement

In today's fast-paced business environment, organisations are constantly seeking ways to enhance productivity and improve the employee experience. One powerful methodology that stands out is 'Lean Thinking', a cornerstone of the Rapid Improvement Program.

Lean Thinking is a systematic business improvement approach that focuses on creating more value for customers while minimising waste. It originated from the Toyota Production System and has since been adopted across various industries worldwide. At its core, Lean Thinking aims to eliminate waste, streamline processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Unlock rapid improvement in your organisation and transform your business with 'Lean Thinking'.  By cutting waste and streamlining processes, the Rapid Improvement Program results in enhanced productivity and an elevated employee experience.

The Rapid Improvement Program is fast paced (but also fun) resulting in an improved end to end process and actionable improvement plan.  The program incorporates the following:

  1. Introduction to Lean Thinking training for impacted leaders and team members

  2. Identification of key processes for improvement and designation of an  Executive Sponsor for the improvement initiative

  3. A Rapid Improvement Workshop is conducted over 1 week with approximately 10 team members who represent all levels of the business and who have a vested interest in the process.  Together workshop participants implement Lean Value Stream Mapping, which is a visual tool used to analyse and design the flow of information and materials needed to bring a service or product to a customer.  The workshop incorporates the following:

  • Current State: we create a detailed visual roadmap that shows every step in the process from start to finish including the ‘waste’ (no computers needed!)

  • Future State: we create a visual future state map of how the process should look after eliminating the waste and making improvements.  It focuses on creating a more efficient and streamlined process

  • Action Plan: we identify actions required to move from the current state to the future state.  Post workshop a detailed action plan is finalised including agreed goals, assigned responsibilities, and timelines for implementing changes

  • Executive Report Out: the Executive team are scheduled to attend a presentation on the final afternoon where workshop participants will outline the high level pain points in the current process and walk through the visual map of the future state.  This activity is paramount to the success of the improvement plan.
